TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions govern the rental of vehicles from Touareg Car Rental LLC (“Touareg”). By signing a rental agreement or using our services, the renter acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms.

1. Eligibility

  • 1.1 The minimum rental age is 21 years old.
  • 1.2 Drivers aged 21–24 may be subject to higher insurance excess liability.
  • 1.3 The renter must hold a valid UAE driving license (minimum 6 months old) or a valid international driving permit where applicable.
  • 1.4 A valid Emirates ID or passport with visa copy is required.
  • 1.5 A valid payment method in the renter’s name is mandatory.
  • 1.6 Touareg reserves the right to refuse rental at its sole discretion without obligation to provide reason.

2. Security Deposit

  • 2.1 A refundable security deposit is required at the time of rental.
  • 2.2 The deposit may be held for up to 30 calendar days after vehicle return.
  • 2.3 Touareg reserves the right to deduct from the deposit any of the following:
    • Traffic fines
    • Salik (toll) charges
    • Parking violations
    • Administrative handling fees
    • Damage repair costs
    • Insurance excess
    • Excess mileage charges
    • Cleaning or misuse fees
  • 2.4 If deductions exceed the deposit amount, the renter remains fully liable for the outstanding balance.

3. Vehicle Use Restrictions

  • 3.1 The vehicle shall not be used for:
    • Racing, drifting, speed testing, or reckless driving
    • Off-road use unless approved in writing
    • Any illegal activity
    • Subleasing or commercial transport
    • Driving outside the UAE without written authorization
    • Use by any driver not listed in the rental agreement
  • 3.2 Any violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement and full liability for damages.
  • 3.3 Breach of these conditions may void insurance coverage.

4. Insurance & Accidents

  • 4.1 All vehicles are insured in accordance with UAE law.
  • 4.2 A valid Dubai Police report is mandatory for any accident, regardless of fault.
  • 4.3 In at-fault cases, the renter is responsible for the applicable insurance excess.
  • 4.4 Failure to obtain a police report renders the renter fully liable for all damages.
  • 4.5 Driving under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances voids insurance coverage.
  • 4.6 Insurance does not cover misuse, negligence, or prohibited vehicle use.

5. Traffic Fines & Salik

  • 5.1 The renter is fully responsible for all traffic violations, radar fines, parking fines, Salik charges, impound fees, and black points incurred during the rental period.
  • 5.2 Touareg reserves the right to charge the renter’s payment method once such violations are registered.

6. Vehicle Condition & Return

  • 6.1 The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received, excluding normal wear and tear.
  • 6.2 The fuel level must match the level at the start of the rental.
  • 6.3 Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited and may result in cleaning charges.
  • 6.4 Excess dirt, sand, stains, or interior damage may result in detailing or repair charges.
  • 6.5 Early return does not entitle the renter to a refund unless agreed in writing.

7. Late Return

  • 7.1 A grace period of sixty (60) minutes may apply.
  • 7.2 Returns beyond the grace period may incur additional daily rental charges.
  • 7.3 Failure to return the vehicle within 24 hours of the agreed return time without notification may be treated as unlawful retention.

8. Breakdown & Mechanical Issues

  • 8.1 The renter must immediately inform Touareg of any mechanical issue.
  • 8.2 Unauthorized repairs are strictly prohibited without prior written approval.
  • 8.3 Costs incurred without approval may not be reimbursed.

9. Termination

  • 9.1 Touareg reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement immediately if any terms are violated.
  • 9.2 Touareg may repossess the vehicle without prior notice in the event of breach.

10. Governing Law

  • 10.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai.
  • 10.2 Any dispute arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai Courts.
